Charlie Brown
Financial Advisor
Charlie is the founding financial advisor of Marathon Financial Group, based in Boston, MA. He and his team (see below) specialize in helping busy, successful, and established professionals organize their financial lives and take the stress out of planning.
In the earlier years of his practice, Charlie concentrated almost exclusively on serving the needs of Boston area physicians and their families. While this vocation remains a focus, the practice has since grown significantly to serve other professionals and business owners all over the United States.
Charlie started his practice with the simple mission of being ‘great, rather than big’ and is focused on building a limited number of strong, long-term relationships with those who are mid- to late-career, in light of his expertise and considerable experience.
Charlie has a degree in Economics from the University of Massachusetts Boston, and holds his FINRA Series 6, 7, 63, 65, and SIE licenses.
Charlie grew up on Boston’s South Shore and currently resides in Boston with his partner Stephen, a primary care physician. When not at the office, Charlie is most likely traveling to visit friends or family, or purely for leisure/exploration.

Jake Foley
Chief Operating Officer
Jake is the Chief Operating Officer at Marathon Financial Group, he has nearly a decade of financial services operations experience.
Prior to joining MFG, Jake spent four years as the operations manager for another RIA where he oversaw firm operations and helped implement new systems and procedures.
Outside of work, Jake lives in St. Louis, Missouri with his wife, Courtney and their son, Arlo.

Connor Gallivan
Financial Advisor
Connor is a financial advisor with Marathon Financial Group, based in Boston, MA. Connor has been working in the financial services industry for over 8 years.
Initially, beginning his career with Putnam Investments, where he consulted with financial advisors on portfolio construction, but ultimately wanted to be able to provide more hands-on guidance to help clients improve their overall financial situations. This is what lead to jumping into the wealth management space. Prior to joining Marathon, Connor worked as an Advisor for another Boston based firm for 3 years.
Connor comes from a long line of teachers and coaches and maintains this mindset when working with his clients. He works closely with each client to develop a financial game plan and helps to educate them throughout their financial journeys.
Connor has a degree in Finance from Providence College and holds his FINRA Series 6, 7, 63, 65, and SIE licenses.
Born and raised in Burlington, MA and currently resides in Boston. When not at the office, Connor is most likely on the golf course, playing basketball, or spending time with friends and family on the Cape.

Indrani Namilikonda
Paraplanner/Client Services Coordinator
Indrani provides client service and coordinates all new business for the practice. In addition, she oversees the financial planning process and is closely involved in data collection and financial analysis.
Indrani holds an MBA from Dalhousie University and also has a master’s degree in Accounting from a university in India.
She lives in Boston with her husband and twelve-year-old son. She likes to run, cook and play tennis.

John Bay, CFA
Director of Investments
John Bay is the Director of Investments for the Marathon Financial Group and is a CFA charter-holder, the pinnacle designation in the field of investment analysis and portfolio management.
John has worked within the wealth management industry for nearly 15 years, managing portfolios for ultra-high net worth individuals specifically, as well as foundations and institutional clients. Prior to business school, John worked at US Trust within the centralized trading and research department. Immediately after finishing his MBA, he worked at UBS as the Internal CIO for one of their largest advisor teams. He ultimately helped form Pallas Capital Advisors and retain 100% of the firm’s clients from UBS.
John earned his undergraduate degree in Economics from Bates College, and then a few years later, went on to the UCLA Anderson School of Management where he got his full-time MBA. While atUCLA, he was the recipient of the J Fred Weston award, finishing in the top 2% of over 350 finance students.
John currently lives in Arlington, MA with his wife Connor, two children, and Doodle. In his free time, John enjoys hiking, skiing, and the thrill of making a good Valencian Paella.

Brody Rosenfeld, CPA, CFP
Financial Planner
Brody is a Certified Public Accountant, CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ certificant, and has a FINRA Series 65 certification. His vast technical knowledge plays a critical role in the development of the customized financial strategies the firm constructs for clients. Brody briefly worked in public accounting before pivoting into Financial Planning a decade ago. He has created hundreds of financial plans for a variety of advisors, managing relationships, creating Microsoft Excel driven financial planning solutions, and striving to live up to his reputation as an Excel Wizard.
Brody has degrees in accounting and economics from Arcadia University in Glenside, Pennsylvania. While there, he spent a semester abroad in the United Kingdom at The University of Cambridge wherehe studied Finance & European History.
In his spare time Brody enjoys competitive axe throwing, brewing beer, learning about history, hiking, biking, & baking bread. Brody volunteers his time every week to pick up litter in his Philadelphianeighborhood, formed a local “trash team”, and volunteers with a local tree planting group. He is an avid Philadelphia Eagles fan.

Melissa Leonard
CFP®
Melissa comes to Foundation Financial Planning with over 10 years of experience in the financial services industry.
Raised in the DC metropolitan area, Melissa attended Virginia Tech (Go Hokie!). After graduating with a B.S. in Applied Economic Management with a focus in Financial Planning, from a CFP Board Certified program, she went on to work at various financial planning firms in DC, New York, and Seattle. Since 2012, Melissa has worked with individuals and families from all walks of life and her most recent focus has been helping young professionals and families to be more financially intentional so they can live the life they want. She is a Certified Financial Planning certificate (CFP®) and is a member of the National Association of Personal Financial Advisors (NAPFA).
Melissa lives in Seattle with her husband and golden retriever. She is an avid traveler, loves DIY home projects, discovering new music, and cooking with intentionality.
